Associate Attorney
Janelise Gastell graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Throughout her undergraduate years at Stetson, Ms. Gastell consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning recognition on the Dean’s List. Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Gastell pursued her legal education at Florida Coastal School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree.
During law school, Ms. Gastell gained valuable practical experience through internships with the Department of Children and Families, where she was exposed to child welfare and family services matters, and subsequently with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, where she began developing her expertise in serving underserved communities.
Upon beginning her legal career, Ms. Gastell joined a small private practice where she focused primarily on family law matters. She later transitioned to employment with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, where she expanded her practice areas to include Family Law, Housing, Consumer Law, and Public Benefits. In this role, Ms. Gastell not only provided direct legal representation but also actively participated in and coordinated numerous outreach events and legal clinics throughout the community. Through these initiatives, she worked to promote access to justice by providing civil legal aid services designed to help low-income individuals and families protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families’ wellbeing.
